  1. My 50 lbs dog has SEVERE food allergies. At one point, the cartilage in his ears was hardening, and it looked like my choices would be ear ablation or euthanasia. Thanks to a diet of first kangaroo (messed up his stomach, we think) and now alligator, his ears are doing great (knock on wood). However, it’s been impossible to find any alligator treats except a very soft jerky. I do have canned food, as well. He has a huge basket of stuffed animals, some of which he’s had for 4 years, to play with instead of getting edibles like bones. His favorite toy is bubble wrap (very closely supervised, of course). He goes down the rows and pops each bubble. Would it be ok to put a new stuffed animal in the busy box with some bubble wrap, or does it need to be food to get out of it what he’s supposed to? I wish you could see the look on his face when he gets a new stuffed! I’m working on him learning their names, one at a time, using techniques I learned while working as a Registered Behavior Technician.

    1. Hi Laine, thanks for your comment.

If you take a look at today’s challenges, there is a busy box idea with toys (a tennis ball) so it’s a great idea for you to adjust that to suit your dog’s love of stuffed animals!

      I hope he enjoys it!
